Europe & Middle East INITIATIVES
Cyber Discovery
Cyber Discovery - An extracurricular learning programme for students aged 14-18 across the UK. The aim of this program is to help youngsters uncover their hidden talent for cyber security but also to show them that there is a career to be made in cybersecurity.
Cyber Academy
Cyber Academy is an innovative training initiative designed to help meet the demand for cyber security workers. Cyber Academy provides intense training to candidates who demonstrate they have the innate aptitudes necessary to become a skilled security professional.
USA INITIATIVES
VetSuccess
The VetSuccess Academy is a unique opportunity for transitioning military service members, active duty spouses, and veterans within five years of separation to learn in-demand cybersecurity skills and earn GIAC certifications to start a career in cybersecurity.
Women’s Academy
This Academy increases gender diversity in cybersecurity by providing women with a passion and aptitude for cybersecurity the opportunity to learn in-demand cybersecurity skills, earn GIAC certifications, and start a career in cybersecurity.
Cyber Workforce Academy
These Academies are made possible by grants, sponsors and organizations looking to hire cybersecurity talent or help advance the field by bringing in new talent. Academy eligibility requirements and curricula will be based on the specific focus and needs of the sponsors.
Diversity Cyber Academy
In partnership with the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP), the Diversity Cyber Academy increases diversity in cybersecurity by providing minorities with a passion and aptitude for cybersecurity the opportunity to learn in-demand cybersecurity skills, earn GIAC certifications, and launch a career in cybersecurity.
GLOBAL INITIATIVES
Work Study Programme
The Work Study Program is a popular and competitive method of SANS training which allows a selected applicant the opportunity to attend a live training event as a facilitator. A SANS facilitator is a selected applicant who assists SANS staff and instructors at training events held around the world. A facilitator accepts the experience of long hours and hard work in exchange for the opportunity to obtain SANS training and certification at a discounted tuition rate.
